Meet Glowsure’s Senior Client Manager
Ryan’s extensive experience in the insurance industry has certainly served him well as one of the founders of Glowsure Insurance, but we’d like to know more about Ryan and what keeps him motivated.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I have a wife called Sophie (who also works for the firm) and two sons; one is 19 and studying at university and the other is 7 and keen sportsman just like his Dad.
How did you start in Insurance?
I started my career in insurance back in 2002 working for a company called Keelan Westall who were a wholesale property owners broker. I worked here for 5 years working my way up in different roles.
I then joined Axa Insurance in 2007 but decided to rejoin Keelan Westall back in 2009 as an account manager looking after brokers. Whilst doing this role I got the opportunity to work for a local insurance broker called Binfield Commercial Insurance in 2012 where I was responsible for the growth of the business by bringing in my own direct clients to the company.
In January 2014 Wesley and I set up Glowsure Insurance Brokers and we’ve achieved growth year upon year.
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Loyal, hardworking & Fun.
What do you like doing when not in the office?
I am an Aldershot Town FC fan for my sins and have been a season ticket holder for at least 20 years. I attend all the home games with my son Harrison and as many away games that I can. I also coach a kids’ under 8’s football team. In the last year Harrison and I have become massive Ice Hockey fans and can often be found at Basingstoke Bison’s on Saturday night. Saturday’s is mainly spent playing or watching sport with Harrison and Sunday’s are spent with the family.
If you didn’t love working at Glowsure and you won the lottery what would you do?
What three famous people (dead or alive) would you invite to a dinner party?
Bobby Moore, Paul Gascoigne and Sir Alex Ferguson.
Who or what inspires you?
What gets you enthused about getting up and coming to work every morning?
In insurance there is a saying that clients always say to me which is ‘insurers are quick to take our money but not so quick to pay it back when I need to make a claim’. This is my motivation; this is why we setup Glowsure because we are a broker that not just looks at the premium but look at the covers which then makes our lives easier when dealing with all of our clients claims and getting the positive result for them. At Glowsure we deal with all of our clients claims (no matter how big or small) from start to finish.

I’ve played tennis with Greg Rusedski.
